Saint-Gemain-en-Laye (Yvelines) currently has two deputies.
There is of course the Saint-Germanoise Natalia Pouzyreffthe outgoing deputy elected on the 6e constituency, of which the commune is part, but there are also Christophe Bentz.
The Saint-Germanois, municipal councilor since 2020 in Saint-Gemain-en-Laye, was elected deputy from 1re constituency of the Haute Marne (52).
The parachutist won the position under the colors of the national rally with 51.25% of the votes cast.

This is not the first time that Christophe Bentz has approached the RN. Let us recall that on the occasion of the last municipal elections of 2020 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the one who was already at the time Christian Democratic Party (PCD), had decided to make a joint list with Didier Rouxelresponsible for the RN for the 6e and the 7e constituency of Yvelines.
Yet competitors in the 2017 legislative elections, the two Saint-Germanois ended up getting closer and decided to work on what they called the “convergence of the rights. “.
They now sit together in the right-wing opposition group Audacity for Saint-Germain.
Will he remain a city councilor?
With this new post of deputy, the question now arises as to whether he will remain a municipal councilor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye as permitted by law. For the moment, the new deputy would not have decided anything yet.
“We have been very busy since the results of the legislative elections. I am only beginning to articulate all this a little bit and see it a little more clearly. I don’t have a collaborator yet, so I do everything, on my own. What is certain is that I do not want to betray anyone in terms of the electorate. I have to take all the parameters in hand to make a considered decision. I want to continue doing both. »
