Parts of Broadway, the largest thoroughfare in Manhattan, will soon be car-free after six people were injured in an incident last week.

According to Mayor Eric Adams, most vehicular traffic will be blocked between West 29th and 27th Streets from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
It is worth mentioning the accident last Monday, in which a taxi ran over a cyclist, dragging him several meters before getting on the sidewalk and crashing into a building.
The Mayor promised to redesign a thousand intersections and increase traffic enforcement throughout the city.
The changes along Broadway will go into effect at the end of the month.
