Lai, who cares about improving the quality of local schools, announced his intention at 2 pm right after the durian eating festival last Thursday (23/6). It turned out that the performance that was proclaimed by Lai was very well received.

According to the event committee, there are at least 400 people who have come from the Penang Islands and Bukit Mertajam willing to wait since early morning. It didn’t take long for Lai’s store to finally be crowded with curious customers.
Before the free durian festival, Lai explained the regulations that apply at his durian shop. Lai said anyone who would later get durians from his shop in large quantities and resell them should set aside the profits for the local school.
It turns out that this is not the first time that the act of raising funds for local schools through durian fruit has been carried out. Before Lai, there was a durian shop that tried to carry out the same intention in a different way.
The store held a meal durian as much as you like by paying only Rp. 33 thousand and managed to attract 100 participants. As a result, this shop was able to donate Rp. 3.3 million to local schools.
