A spray product made in France to see more clearly in bad weather by Visiodry
Hydrophobic solution, up to 2 months, 18 applications per bottle
Riding a motorcycle when the weather is capricious can sometimes cause some problems. If that of fog is rather well controlled thanks to Pinlock-type films and the various treatments of the screen, rain is another subject.
To prevent the rain from impairing vision, it is possible to take advantage of the rubber scrapers on certain winter gloves, or even to install a helmet windscreen wiper, or to apply a water-repellent product such as Rain-X. However, the latter have a fairly limited effectiveness over time and generally produce droplets which in turn can be annoying.
A new alternative is now possible. And she’s French too. The company Surfactis Technologies has developed a new compound allowing water to be expelled from its visor: the Visiodry.
Unlike competing products with water-repellent properties, Visiodry presents itself as a “superhydrophobic” solution and promises increased efficiency. It is compatible with all types of screens, whether clear, smoked or even with iridium treatment.
It is easy to apply since all you have to do is clean the visor, spray Visiodry and let it dry for just under a minute. According to the brand, the solution is effective for up to 2 months, provided that no friction is made on the screen, the latter eliminating the anti-rain solution.
Marketed since the beginning of the year and available from major brands in the sector, Visiodry is packaged in a 35 mL spray allowing around 18 uses on a motorcycle helmet visor and around 50 on glasses. It is sold for 19.90 euros.
