Ingolstadt’s five-cylinder engines use an almost cult status, mainly due to their sonic expression, which is simply phenomenal, breathtaking and downright addictive thanks to the unconventional sequence of 1-2-4-5-3 zeal. With the Cupry Formentor VZ5, it is still rooted in the exhaust system divided into two branches. Whether you like it or not, you will always step on the accelerator pedal. And that’s just so that the characteristic nirvana goes through your eardrums.
If the driver wants, the engine can be completely damped and refined, which the customer will especially appreciate on longer journeys. The same goes for fuel consumption. Of course, you can drive for 20 liters per hundred kilometers, but with a light foot it is possible to drive for a friendly 10 l / 100 km. The manufacturer then states 9.3 l / 100 km in combined operation, which is still a fairly realistic number.
