A tree in the middle of the sea Thailand go viral. This tree is the target of content for fans tourist until it breaks.
Reported from South China Morning Post, this tree is on the small island of Koh Khai Hua, off the east coast of Thailand. This uninhabited island is in Trat Province.
The viral tree is Xylocarpus rumphii, a type of mangrove that lives in tidal areas. Uniquely, this tree is the only one there.
Growing big and branching, cows who would have thought the roots of this tree were embedded in the small island. The view of the island with trees in the middle of the sea makes it popular.

A few months ago, a traveler on Facebook said the site resembled a scene from a popular Thai comic book. As a result, this place is increasingly crowded with tourists.
So popular, many tourists who want to take pictures on the tree. What’s worse, they ride crowded.
The authorities there were shocked when they carried out the inspection. The tree was damaged, some branches were broken and the roots were rotten because it became a foothold.
“Tree Xylocarpus rumphii It has been badly damaged because people often climb it to take pictures,” local authorities said.
But Letrob Saithongpu, director of maintenance at the Koh Mak Tambon Administrative Organization, which manages the island told The Nation, the trunk of the tree had bent more than a few years ago. The incident was long before the place became a popular tourist destination.
Letrob said the local government was working on measures, including limiting the number of tourists allowed to visit the island. Tourists will only be allowed during certain seasons to prevent further damage to the tree.
“Conservation campaigns will also be launched to raise awareness among tourists,” he added.
The Thai Tourism Authority branch in Trat also shared a series of posts about the tree on Facebook. Disappointed netizens said that the tourists lacked “conscience”. Netizens urged the government to protect the tree.
