Users who link their Nintendo Network ID (Wii U/3DS) with their Nintendo Account (Switch), will be able to use the balance to purchase content on either console until March 2023. After this date, they will only be able to purchase content on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
Even after March 2023, it will be possible to re-download purchased games and DLC, receive updates, and enjoy online play (always free) on Wii U and 3DS.
