more than growth curves and vaccinations — RTV-Ridderkerk

After 12.5 years, the popularly known health center has given itself a new look. With a new website and brand campaign in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region, the Center for Youth and Family (CJG) Rijnmond wants to show parents, carers and young people that it does more than measure, weigh and vaccinate.

CJG Rijnmond exists 12.5 years. Because many (future) parents still think that the CJG is only there to monitor the development of their child and give injections, it is launching a brand campaign. With this, CJG Rijnmond wants to show that it is more than just that. For example, it organizes free (online) courses and webinars, for example about preparing for parenthood, talking with your child, media education, but also a Puberchallenge to better understand your adolescent.

Reliable parenting information

What parent didn’t lose themselves during broken nights with the bags under the eyes in the Viva forum and the Babybites? Or was he tempted to give his child to a family member for a week because it became too heavy for a while? For these – and all other parents – there is CJG Rijnmond with 100% reliable information about parenting, growing up and health; checked by healthcare professionals. From baby acne and tension in the run-up to the first day of school to fear of failure, poor sleep and sexting. And if the CJG does not have the answer, it can refer parents.

A listening ear

Photos of young parents, toddlers and adolescents, accompanied by texts such as ‘And then suddenly the maternity assistant is gone’, ‘If your child spits out 250 grams of vegetables every day’ or ‘Do you already have two houses when you are nine?’ provide a picture of the broad field of the CJG. With the brand campaign, the center wants to radiate that pregnant women and their partners, parents with children aged 0 to 18 and young people can always knock on the door with any question and any problem. No question is too crazy for the pediatricians, youth nurses and other experts. CJG Rijnmond offers, as the center itself describes it, ‘support with the greatest task in a person’s life.’

In the street and on the doormat

From June 21 you will come across CJG Rijnmond in the streets, for example on LED screens and signs along access roads. A CJG newspaper will also be delivered to all residents of the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region at the end of this month. In a new style, with stories from parents and professionals. Also take a look at the new website www.cjgrijnmond.nl.
