MEXICO CITY.- The lawyer Jesus H.79, shot dead his wife, singer Yrma Lydya, at the Suntory restaurant located in Colonia del Valle, Benito Juárez City Hall.
The aggressor had been in the place for at least four hours, arriving at 2:00 p.m. accompanied by a woman and a man, who left later.
Around 6:00 p.m., the victim met Jesús in a private area of the restaurant and after an alleged argument, he attacked her.
“It was heard as a dry blow, but nobody paid attention, and then others, and the man was already standing up shooting and tried to escape, but an escort managed to stop him,” said a police officer.
The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office reported that the case is being investigated under the femicide protocols.
The singer participated in a tour called Gran Diosas Doce, in which Dulce, María Conchita Alonso and María del Sol, among others, alternate.
