Video: New York ‘bulldozert’ 900 motorcycles

To set an example against illegal motorcycles in New York, 900 “illegal” motorcycles, scooters and ATVs were scrapped in a media-effective manner.

The City of New York invited the press to the event, and Mayor Eric L. Adams waved a checkered flag especially at the start of the demolition campaign. Then about 900 motorcycles, scooters and ATVs were run over and bulldozered.

The vehicles were barely half of the motor vehicles seized in 2022. More than 2,000 motorcycles, scooters and quads have reportedly been seized so far this year, an increase of 88% from last year.

What the engines were seized for is not explained in detail. It only talks about illegal offenses or illegal dirt bikes.

Mayor Adams: “We’ve been hearing it all winter: What are we going to do about these illegal dirt bikes that are terrorizing our city and communities
