Hackers get away with $100 million after crypto cracking | crypto

The digital coins were stolen from the crypto holding company Harmony. The company announced via Twitter that its ‘Horizon bridge’ received a visit from unwanted guests on Tuesday. Harmony is now working with governments and specialists to identify the thieves and reclaim the loot.

Harmony Bridge allows a user to exchange digital coins between different blockchains – the IT principle behind digital coins that works through a network of computers. For example, transactions between Ethereum and Binance are possible.

The ‘bridge squat’ is already the third major theft in a few months. In February, more than $300 million (about 285 million euros) was stolen from ‘Wormhole’ and a month later it was about 620 million dollars (588 million euros) from ‘Ronin Bridge’.
