gonzalo Higuain ever made a scene by leaving Napoli and joining his arch-rivals, Juventus. Higuain did it for the Serie A title.
Higuain strengthens Napoli since 2013. The Argentine striker has become a Partenopei star thanks to his fertility on the pitch.
However, Higuain then took a decision that angered Napoli fans by joining Juventus in the summer of 2016. He moved to Turin for a transfer fee of 90 million euros.
Higuain cited the Scudetto as his main motivation for moving to Juventus. During his time in Napoli’s uniform, Higuain only won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.
“I left because I thought what else should I do to win something after scoring 36 goals?” Higuain said to Tyc Sports as reported Football Italia.
“So when Juventus came and asked for me, there was no doubt.”
Higuain once broke the record for top scorer in Serie A by scoring 36 goals for Napoli in the 2015/2016 season. However, these nicks were not enough to lead Napoli to win the Italian League.
“Napoli fans are angry, but every action has consequences, so for all the insults and hatred they have directed at me, I responded with six goals against them in eight games,” said Higuain.
with Juventus, gonzalo Higuain won the Scudetto three times. He scored 66 goals in 149 appearances before finally being released by the Bianconeri in 2020.
