The Macedonian side did with the French proposal, what it has been doing for years in terms of resolving the dispute with Bulgaria – a reluctance to find a solution and a way out of the situation and to have normal relations. What is new in this case is that the EU understands what kind of government, ideology and official state policy it has a problem with.
This is what the journalist Lyubcho Neshkov commented in the studio of Euronews Bulgaria.
According to him, the French proposal contains three elements. The first is the conclusions of the European Council, the second is the negotiating framework and the third is the so-called protocol. These three things together make a whole, none of them hanging in the air. The conclusions are – we are giving the green light. We turn to the negotiating framework, what it includes – mainly the Bulgarian demands. How they are controlled – through the protocol, the European Council confirms them, Neshkov commented.
Bulgarian politicians, including Kiril Petkov, who for months has denied negotiating a French proposal and project, have created chaos that has caused Bulgarian society to worry, he added.
