Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Norway on Wednesday. The couple spent the day with members of the Norwegian royal family. The twins Jacques and Gabriella flew with them to Oslo.
The meeting started with lunch with King Harald and Queen Sonja at the royal estate Bygdø. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Märtha Louise joined them for lunch.
Later in the day, Crown Prince Haakon took the Monegasque royals to the Fram Museum in Oslo. Prince Albert had the honor of opening an exhibition about Norwegian polar expeditions. His predecessor Prince Albert I, Prince of Monaco from 1889 – 1922, led several expeditions to Spitsbergen around 1900.

It was Charlène’s first official trip in a long time. The 44-year-old princess has struggled with her health for the past year and has had multiple surgeries in her native South Africa for an ear, nose and throat infection. Charlène has been back home in Monaco since March.
