About twenty floods were observed by Eurelian rescuers during the storms that hit the department. Only the Chartres and Châteaudun sectors would have been affected.
The firefighters intervened in particular for flooding of cellars and tree branches obstructing the road. Traffic was very disrupted on the Chartres ring road and the surrounding towns. The RN154 was cut punctually at Allonnes and the gymnasium near the town hall of Luisant was closed, probably due to a roof problem.
The police were forced to temporarily ban traffic on certain roads including rue de Patay, at the place called Les Trois Ponts, on the edge of Chartres and Coudray.
The sectors of Dreux and Nogent-le-Rotrou would have been spared by this meteorological episode.
