When asked if the Russian dictator had expressed to him Vladimir Putin any disappointment with the refusal to recognize the terrorists of the LDNR, Tokayev said that the head of the Kremlin was not disappointed and looked “very calm and confident”, and after the forum they had a “pleasant meeting”.
Tokayev explained the refusal to recognize terrorists by the principle of the UN Charter, mentioning the importance of the territorial integrity of states.
“From my point of view, the territorial integrity of states should prevail,” the President of Kazakhstan said.
