What was to be the happiest day of his life ended for Tom Mann, former X-Factor-finalist, in the worst nightmare a person can imagine. Hours before he was due to get married, he was told that his fiancée had died. The cause of death is not yet known.

Tom Mann, who participated with Stereo Kicks in the UK version of X Factor, is a broken man. His fiancée Danielle Hampson passed away on Saturday, the day of his wedding.

“What should have been the happiest day of our lives ended in an irreversible heartbreak,” wrote Mann, whose 2014 boy band Stereo Kicks had success on the TV show.

The cause of death of his 34-year-old partner has not been released.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but my dear Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning,” he wrote on social media.

“I feel like I’ve cried an ocean. We never made it to the altar. We also couldn’t dance our opening dance.”

Hampson’s last dance performance, before becoming a mother last year, was in a music video for Harry Styles’ song Treat People With Kindness from 2021.

Spice Girl Emma Bunton already responded, saying: “I am heartbroken for you. A beautiful soul that will live on. I’m thinking of you all.”

Take That star Howard Donald said: “I am devastated that one of the dancers on Wonderland 2017 tour has passed away. What a beautiful and super talented dancer she was.”
