10 photos of Claude Cormier’s Ring, finally installed downtown


After a few weeks of hearing about the huge ring that is supposed to adorn the landscape of the Place Ville Marie Esplanade in downtown Montreal in the media, it was finally erected on Saturday, June 18.

This artistic installation is a realization of the landscape architect Claude Cormier, whom we know very well since it is to him that we owe all these beautiful years of pink and multicolored balls suspended in the Village in summer.

Suspended several meters above the ground between two buildings in Place Ville Marie, the Ring offers a perspective on the emblematic axis of Avenue McGill College.
