Ukraine received the first PzH 2000 howitzers from Germany with trained Ukrainian crews. About it reported defense minister Alexey Reznikov.

According to him, this is already the sixth type of 155 mm artillery, which will strengthen the defense of Ukraine along with the western howitzers M777, FH70, M109, AHS Krab and Caesar, which are already used on the battlefield.

The Minister noted that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny “100% effective” uses the new artillery at the front.

REFERENCE. Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a heavy artillery system with a NATO 155 mm cannon, 52 calibers long, on a tracked platform. With standard ammunition, self-propelled guns can fire from a distance of 30 km, with extended-range ammunition – 40 km, with an active-rocket projectile – over 55 km. The self-propelled gun fires three rounds in nine seconds or ten rounds in 56 seconds. Ammunition – 60 shells and 228 modular propellant charges. Combat weight – 55.3 tons, crew – five people.
