In the US, Paramount+ is now well established, and the streaming service once known as CBS All Access has also made significant investments to compete against the big names in the business, including Netflix and Disney+. Paramount+ offers series such as Star Trek and Halo, among others, and some are already eagerly awaiting the fact that this offer is also regularly available from us – especially individually, i.e. without a Sky partnership.
Start in December 2022, for 7.99 euros per month
Paramount+ has now announced when the offer will be available in German-speaking countries and how much it will cost. According to the company, it will be in December of this year in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Paramount + will cost 7.99 euros per month, which is one euro less than Disney + and significantly less than Netflix, where – apart from the “basic” SD subscription – monthly 12.99 euros (standard) and 17.99 euros (premium) paid. At the same time, there will be a partnership with Sky, which already exists and is currently bringing the content to Germany. It will stay that way, as Sky Cinema subscribers will be able to use Paramount+ free of charge as part of Sky Q. Subscribers will get to see the international hits, i.e. productions like Halo and the Star Trek series. However, the media company will also offer German-language productions. “A Thin Line”, a hacker series starring Saskia Rosendahl and Hanna Hilsdorf, has already been announced. Paramount+ will provide further announcements and details about the launch later.
