The police revealed a number of facts related to the activity titled ‘Wrap the Night’ at Hamilton Spa, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The ‘Wrap Night’ activity turned out to be a practice prostitution under the guise of a massage parlor.
Five people have been named as suspects in the case. Meanwhile, the police and the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP have sealed the Hamilton Spa & Massage which is the venue for ‘Bungkus Night’.
South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto revealed that the ‘Bungkus Night’ had not been implemented because the police had prevented it.
“Now it can be prevented,” said Kombes Budhi in a statement to detik.comTuesday (22/6/2022).
The following are a number of facts revealed by the police regarding ‘Bungkus Night’ in South Jakarta:
1) Five People Become Suspects: Director-Manager
The police have examined a number of witnesses related to this ‘Bungkus Night’. From the examination of the witnesses, the police determined that: five people as suspects and detained.
“We are examining 4 witnesses and we are developing 5 people who we have named as suspects,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Ridwan Soplanit when contacted by reporters, Monday (20/6).
The five suspects include the director with the initials ODC, the regional manager DL, the AK creative team, and the MI ad uploader.
2) Five Suspects Charged with the ITE Law and the Pornography Law
AKBP Ridwan explained, these five suspects were snared with: ITE Law and Pornography Law.
“Article 27 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law and Article 45 of the issue of decency and the Pornography Law,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit when contacted, Monday (20/6).
The suspects have now been detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police. The five ‘Bungkus Night’ suspects are threatened with 6 years in prison for this case.
Article 27 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law reads:
“Every person intentionally and without rights distributes and/or transmits and/or makes accessible electronic information and/or electronic documents that have content that violates decency.”
Article 45 of the ITE Law reads:
“Every person who knowingly and without rights distributes and/or transmits and/or makes accessible Electronic Information and/or Electronic Documents that has content that violates decency as referred to in Article 27 paragraph (1) shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 6 (five) years. six) years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 1,000,000,000.00 (one billion rupiah).”
