The water that supplies the hot water production and distribution facilities is the cause of the following situations:
- Deposit of scale and sludge which reduce heat exchange and disrupt fluid circulation
- Corrosion that can go as far as piercing the piping
- Proliferation of micro-organisms making the water unfit for consumption or dangerous by inhalation (legionella)
Film-forming treatment is a process which makes it possible to fight against scaling and corrosion by injecting a reagent into the network using a metering pump. This process is particularly effective in the context of old multi-material networks sensitive to galvanic corrosion or, for example, when the network is made of galvanized steel.
The reagents used are approved for water intended for human consumption and a disinfectant additive can be included in the product formulation.
