The admission took place just two days after the prince celebrated his son, Prince Felix ‘(19), 18 years old with his children, Countess Alexandra (57) and Princess Marie (46) at the Queen’s wine castle in France.
In a new, exclusive interview with Picturemagazine His two eldest children, Prince Nikolai (22) and Prince Felix, open up about the tough times when his father became ill.

– You get scared
– We had actually just said goodbye on the day and were on our way home from holiday together. So it came as a shock to us all. Of course one would like to be there to help, but I am glad that we were spared such a cruel experience, says Nikolai.
Both he and little brother Felix say that they were very worried in the days after the admission.
– We were called every day and got a status pto his health. I do not think it is something you thought so much about. World sto in a way quiet. Of course you get scared, and we can only praise ourselves happy that it has gone as it has gone, says Nikolai.
He concludes by saying that he is deeply grateful that his father is in better shape than ever today.
