The 2022/23 season in the Bundesliga is casting its shadow. Numerous players and clubs could achieve historic goals again in the coming season. bundesliga.de provides you with upcoming records, anniversaries and top marks at a glance!
Of course, the record breakers par excellence come from the south of the republic: FC Bayern Munich could become German champions for the eleventh time in a row in 2022/23. A series like this has never been achieved by a team in the five top leagues in Europe (Germany, England, Spain, Italy, France). For veteran Thomas Müller, who recently extended his contract until 2024, it would be the twelfth championship, and that would also be a record.
In addition, Bayern could continue to build on two current records from the first matchday: the German record champions can currently show 81 Bundesliga games with goals and 51 away games with goals across the seasons.

Seven clubs with new coaches
As in the previous season, a number of clubs are starting the season with new coaches this year: Edin Terzic (Borussia Dortmund), Andre Breitenreiter (TSG Hoffenheim), Daniel Farke (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Niko Kovac (VfL Wolfsburg ), Enrico Maaßen (FC Augsburg), Sandro Schwarz (Hertha BSC) and Frank Kramer (FC Schalke 04) want to be successful from day one.
Should either of them manage to start the season on a winning streak, it could set a record for Otto Rehhagel, who began his tenure at Bayern Munich in 1995/96 with seven wins in a row. Even more impressive: Pep Guardiola went unbeaten 28 games in a row at Bayern’s start in 2013/14. Both records that will be difficult to break…

Professionals before anniversaries
Some Bundesliga professionals are approaching special anniversaries: BVB captain Marco Reus could score his 150th Bundesliga goal (currently 144). Bundesliga goal number 150 is also possible for Thomas Müller (currently 137). Max Kruse (97), Nils Petersen (88), Andrej Kramaric (88) and Anthony Modeste (83) are less than 20 goals away from their 100th Bundesliga goal.
For Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann (393), BVB defender Mats Hummels (387) and Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski (384), Bundesliga game number 400 could be on the agenda. Even his 500th game could reach national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer this season, but he would have to be in the box in all 34 games. Since he is currently playing 466 Bundesliga games, he would only be able to celebrate the anniversary on the last day of the 2022/23 season.

Hertha BSC collected 1000 home points in the Bundesliga at the next point in the Olympic Stadium (currently 999 points scored).
VfL Bochum should complete the 1000 home goals in the Bundesliga (currently 983).
Borussia Mönchengladbach has home win number 500 in the Bundesliga (currently 492).
FC Augsburg (currently 44) and RB Leipzig (48) could win away win number 50.
If VfL Wolfsburg gets at least 26 away points, then it reaches the 500 mark.
1. FC Union Berlin are still ten wins short of their 50th Bundesliga victory. Home goal number 100 should also be in there for the Köpenicker (currently 81)
