Bielefeld. The country is menacingly anemic, even earlier this year than in 2021. The German Red Cross (DRK), which claims to cover around 75 percent of the blood needs of hospitals in North Rhine-Westphalia, has therefore unusually sounded the alarm and called before the summer holidays people urgently to bloodletting. Bielefeld is happily bucking the trend, but even here blood supplies are in short supply. Because every drop is precious, surgeons in the city’s clinics should even think more about “blood washing”…
