Deputy Governor of West Java (West Java), Uu Ruzhanul Ulum supports West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to run in the 2024 presidential election. UU admits that he is ready to replace Ridwan Kamil’s position.
Reported by detikJabar, Uu said that while attending the ‘Sunda Ngahiji Forum’ meeting at the Maritime Gallery Museum, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency (KBB), Sunday (19/6/2022). A number of Sundanese figures were present at the event.
“The Sundanese who are brave, even before having declared that they are ready to become a presidential candidate, are only Kang Emil (Ridwan Kamil) so we support them from now on,” said Uu.
Uu said he had no intention of running for the 2024 presidential election. Uu is eyeing the governorship if Ridwan Kamil runs for president.
“If I have no intention of running for president, even though I am a Sundanese. At least I will run for governor after Pak Ridwan Kamil ran for president,” said Uu.
As is known, until now Ridwan Kamil has not joined as a cadre of any party. However, the DPD of the National Mandate Party (PAN) in Cianjur Regency has encouraged the General Chair of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan and the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, to run in the upcoming presidential election.
