“The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) notified itself and carried out a control action at Trattoria Roma, a restaurant located in the Drumul Taberei neighborhood of the Capital, following a post on social networks, received by the young commissioners, for which this means of communication is very common (…) “, states ANPC in a communiqué, according to Agerpres.

Thus, following the verifications, a team of the Commissariat for Consumer Protection Bucharest found a faulty way of carrying out the activity of the restaurant, which offered services that could endanger the life, health or economic interests of consumers, which led to the application of the following sanctions: permanent cessation of the sale and withdrawal from the human consumption circuit of a quantity of over 113 kg of non-compliant products in the amount of over 5,000 lei, contravention fine in the total amount of 10,000 lei and temporary cessation of services until the deficiencies are remedied.

According to the quoted source, among the irregularities found are: the use of raw materials and culinary preparations without labels with the expiration date or elements of identification and characterization, the use of totally unhygienized refrigeration units, with the massive presence of dust, impurities and food residues on ventilation. with which they are equipped, the presence of dead insects as well as the non-observance of the temperature conditions and the neighborhoods in the refrigeration units.

Also, the ANPC commissioners found a damaged floor that could not be properly sanitized and also found that in that restaurant were used wire sponges in the workspace, and solid waste was collected in containers without lids.

Another deviation was the lack of information to consumers in the menu list about the foreseeable risks posed by potentially allergenic ingredients.

“Communication with each of the consumers affected by the irregularities of economic operators must have new dimensions.
Our young colleagues noticed that in the online environment, not necessarily on the institution’s accounts, important information appears and they decided to look for it and pay attention to it. The fruits of their involvement are seen every day, both in effect and in the change of mentality within the institution. The young breath brought restores energy and forces us to become young again in attitude, determination and, automatically, gives results “, Horia Constantinescu, president of ANPC, transmitted in the quoted communiqué.
