I 2019 ga Atle Pettersen (32) and her boyfriend Cathrine Eide (32) each other their “yes” in Greece, and joined it husband and wife.
The couple met for the first time when Pettersen ran away with the victory in the TV 2 program “Skal vi danse” in 2011. Eide worked as a journalist for the channel. In December last year they had their first child, daughter Demi.
This year, Pettersen and Eide can celebrate eleven years together, but the good relationship has not come for free.

On Wednesday, the artist and host Ida Fladens (36) hosted a podcast, “Ida with her heart in her hand”.
There, Pettersen revealed the secret behind the long-term relationship.
Reveals details about the son
The 32-year-old tells Fladen that he has become a big fan of couples therapy.
– Through a ten-year relationship, there are ups and downs, and you have to grow up together, and you have to get to know each other for better or worse. At one point, it was right for us to go into couples therapy, the artist explains.

– A solitaire card that will go up
The artist believes that most people have a misconception about what couple therapy really is, and that there does not necessarily have to be something wrong before entering the therapy room.
– It is believed that couples therapy is about someone telling you what you are doing wrong and not. It’s not about that at all. It’s about getting to know yourself. Trying to learn to understand that: “when you do that I get angry, but what is the reason I get angry?”.
Became a mom for the first time
Pettersen says that becoming a parent has also had an impact on the marriage. The time is often not enough, and soon the relationship became an Excel sheet.
– It can quickly be about “who should sleep when”, “now you slept last night, then I almost have to sleep the next night, and then it’s great if you take the morning, then I’m going to work.” There will be a calendar and a solitaire card that will go up. You also have to make time for each other up there.

Thanks no to date
Although the relationship has lasted for several years, Eide was not convinced when Pettersen asked her to date in a text message, she told VG i 2019.
– I thought: “Who in the world does he think he is?”, But before “Shall we dance” is finished, he has probably forgotten me. Then there are some other ladies, she said, and thus refused a date with him.
Therefore, he was abstained
But the then TV 2 journalist was wrong. At the program’s final party, Pettersen went down from the stage and made his way through the crowd towards what would become his future wife.
