Phoenix Hagen was able to announce an important personnel decision for the coming season in the BARMER 2nd Basketball Bundesliga ProA. Marcel Kessen has extended his contract in Hagen until the summer of 2023 and will also take on the role of team captain in the future.
The homegrown player from Hagen was one of the top performers in head coach Chris Harris’ team last season. With an average of 14.3 points and 6.4 rebounds, the 25-year-old became the second-best scorer and best rebounder in Hagen. In addition, Kessen shone with a very good rate of three of 43%.
