jpnn.com, TANJUNG PINANG – Governor of the Riau Islands (Kepri) Ansar Ahmad has written to the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB) regarding the status of temporary workers.

Ansar Ahmad asked KemenPAN-RB to review the circular regarding honorary deletion government from November 2023.

“If everything is deleted directly, I think it needs to be reviewed again, because the existence of honorariums is still needed,” said Ansar in Tanjungpinang, Friday (17/6).

He also suggested the central government to rationalize its workforce honorary in accordance with the needs of the local government in the context of optimizing public services.

According to Ansar, the number of temporary employees in the Riau Islands Provincial Government currently reaches more than 7,000 people.

The honorary workers consist of casual daily workers (THL), temporary employees (PTT), and non-ASN/teacher contract workers (PTK).

Governor Ansar admits that the number of honorariums in his area is indeed a lot, even quite a burden on the APBD.

“However, while their energy can still be distributed, we will still accommodate the budget,” he said Ansar Ahmad |.
