20.03 Everyone on the track, let’s start with the first session!
20.02 Sunbreaks now in Montreal, we hope that FP1 proceeds smoothly. 300,000 spectators are expected for the weekend!
20.01 McLaren, Sainz, Alfa Romeo, Russell and Tsunoda are immediately on the track!
20.00 GREEN TRAFFIC LIGHT !!!!!!!!! TAKE THE FP1 OF THE CANADA GP !!!!!!!!
19.57 A few minutes and it starts! Black clouds coming but still no rain, the pilots will probably start strong immediately to avoid risks, given that in view of FP2 the risks of precipitation will increase …
19.54 We will see if any other team will be able to emerge in Montreal, with Alpine, AlphaTauri, McLaren and gradually all the others that, for the moment, are still too far from the top
19.51 As seen in the latest outings, the duel seems to be enclosed in Ferrari and Red Bull, with Mercedes having to race again in defense and try to win the maximum possible points
19.48 The Milton Keynes team comes from 5 consecutive victories (4 by Verstappen and one by Perez) and will try to confirm itself also in Montreal, a track that seems tailor-made on the RB18
19.45 On the other hand, on the other hand, Red Bull literally flies on the wings of enthusiasm, with an RB18 that always knows how to achieve the maximum result on Sundays, also taking advantage of Ferrari’s heavy technical and strategic errors
19.42 The Prancing Horse team would seem willing to use the fourth turbo of the season on the Monegasque’s F1-75 and therefore take him to serve ten positions on the starting grid on a track where, on paper, it is not impossible to overtake and also subject to Safety Car for its characteristics. We will see in the next few hours if there will be any news in this sense.
19.39 The Maranello team comes to Canada with enormous doubts related to reliability. Will Leclerc and Sainz have to change engines again after the Baku troubles? Especially in the case of the Monegasque, the risk of immediately entering a penalty is high
19.36 We are back in action immediately a few days after the Baku race which could have written a page perhaps already decisive of the season. Will Ferrari be able to get up from the double Azerbaijani retirement?
19.33 There are just under 30 minutes to the start of FP1, at the moment the weather sees a calm situation and the temperature is around 24 °, but the rain (which yesterday hit the circuit very abundantly) is announced in view of FP2. Tomorrow still risk of rain and autumn temperatures (16 ° maximum) while Sunday the race should see sun and 24 °.

How to follow free practice on TV / streaming – The presentation of the Canadian GP – Canadian GP numbers and statistics – The precedents in the Canadian GP of Ferrari
Good evening and welcome back to LIVE LIVE of free practice for the Canadian GP, ninth round of the 2022 F1 World Championship. On the Montreal track, the teams and drivers will have to work hard to find the right set-up, considering the meteorological variables that could greatly affect the development of the weekend.
The Ferrari comes to this appointment with many unknowns. The double retreat of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc and some Spanish Carlos Sainz in Baku (Azerbaijan) has fueled many doubts about the reliability of the F1-75 and it is no coincidence that the boy from the Principality could be forced to use the fourth turbo of the season facing a penalty of 10 positions on the grid. An eventuality that could clearly complicate the situation in Leclerc considerably.
The ranking situation, in fact, smiles at Red Bull. Milton Keynes’ team leads in both rankings: the Dutch Max Verstappen stands out with 150 points, 21 more than the Mexican Sergio Perez and 34 more than Leclerc. For this reason, having to face a handicap weekend, considering the strength of the opponents, is really difficult.
OA Sport offers you the LIVE LIVE of free practice for the Canadian GP, ninth round of the 2022 F1 World Championship: news in real time and constant updates. FP1 starts at 20.00 in Italy, while the second session is scheduled for 23.00 (Italian time). Good fun!
