In the municipality of Pedro Escobedo, three men of Colombian nationality were arrested and later deported to their country of origin, apparently dedicated to extorting money through “drop by drop” loans.
According to the authorities, two of the arrests were recorded on June 10, after the alleged criminals, who identified themselves as Robinson N. and Hanner Andrés N., 38 and 33 years old, offered loans to later extort and intimidate those who could no longer pay.
The arrest was made for disturbing public order, after a call to 911 where they reported two men of Colombian origin on a motorcycle arguing in reference to a charge, with another person, on Pan-American Avenue at the height of the Sauz Bajo community. .
In another incident, 26-year-old Jonathan Alejandro was arrested, also for disturbing public order and of Colombian origin, who was reported for arguing in reference to a loan collection, with another person, on Herlinda García street in downtown by Pedro Escobedo.
The victims who have had the need to acquire them were basically merchants who urgently needed money and could not access a bank loan.
The authorities assured that the men were placed at the disposal of the Municipal Civic Court, in the same way the National Institute of Migration was informed to define their legal and migratory situation, since their migratory status was irregular.
