A world day, on a planetary scale, to forge links between knitters and why not others: for thirteen years, around mid-June, the avowed objective of International Knitting Day is to give a little more visibility to this practice, by nature discreet. The idea is to see knitters (there are said to be some) and knitters take to the streets – peacefully – to recruit new followers, from a collective work project.
