List of 24 Countries Qualifying for the 2023 Asian Cup including Indonesia

KUWAIT CITY – A total of 24 participating countries Asian Cup 2023 is known. There were 11 additional teams that advanced through the third qualifying round, including Indonesia.

Of the teams that qualified for the third round, six of them qualified as group winners. They are Jordan (Group A), Palestine (Group B), Uzbekistan (Group C), India (Group D), Bahrain (Group E) and Tajikistan (Group F).

While the other five from the path of the five best runners-up, namely Kyrgyzstan (Group F), Indonesia (Group A), Malaysia (Group E), Thailand (Group C) and Hong Kong (Group D).

They all accompanied the 13 teams that had already qualified, namely Australia, Japan, Iran, Iraq, South Korea, Lebanon and Oman.

Then China, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Syria. A total of 24 teams will take part in the 2023 Asian Cup which is scheduled to run from June 16 to July 16 next year.

Initially, China served as the host. However, on May 14, 2022, the AFC announced that the Bamboo Curtain Country would not hold this Asian football event due to Covid-19.

Until now it has not been determined who will be the substitute host. Reportedly, Indonesia had been offered to be the organizer.
