As the Dresdeners announced on Tuesday, the 23-year-old will receive a contract until 2024. “Stefan Drljaca has enjoyed a very good education and has excellent qualifications to keep the competition in the goalkeeper position at a high level,” said Ralf Becker, Dresden’s sporting director quoted in a club announcement. “I am convinced that he can take the next step with us and further develop his potential.”

Drljaca came to BVB from TSG Hoffenheim in 2020, for which he made 29 appearances. He was between the posts 15 times in the last third division season. Now the German-Serbian is looking forward to the “new challenge” in Dresden. “The talks with those responsible were consistently positive and completely convinced me to start the next chapter in my career at SGD,” said the keeper.
