Fears the risk of spreading from a fire in an apartment building
There is a fire in the ventilation system in an apartment building on Torshov in Oslo, the fire service reports.
They are on the scene with nine fire trucks, because they fear a possible danger of spreading.
– From experience, we always fear fire in these old apartment buildings. There is great potential for the spread of fire if we do not arrive early and put out the flames quickly, says Ola Klakegg, duty commander at the 110 exchange.
There is smoke in several apartments, the police inform NRK.
Klakegg tells NRK that since the ventilation system passes through the building, they fear that smoke may enter apartments. But this is not clarified.
