Mobile Vikings makes fixed internet subscriptions widely available – IT Pro – News

Mobile Vikings has made its fixed internet subscriptions available after a two-month test. During the test, a quarter of the customers received a fiber optic internet installation.

It offer from Mobile Vikings is equal to the subscriptions that the limited group of test users was able to purchase in recent months. For 38 euros per month there is a subscription with a maximum of 100Mbit/s down and up to 40Mbit/s up. For 53 euros per month, the download speed is a maximum of 1Gbit/s down and 500Mbit/s up. Mobile customers receive a monthly discount of three euros on a subscription.

Mobile Vikings makes no distinction between the type of connection: a connection via vdsl costs the same as via fiber optic. The connections are made via parent company Proximus. The subsidiary brand does not apply a data limit, unless abuse is established.

The provider started two months ago with a thousand test users. After a month, the company made another 500 subscriptions available. A quarter of all test users received a subscription via a fiber optic connection. More than half of those households opted for the speed of 1Gbit/s down and 500Mbit/s up, according to Mobile Vikings.
