260 badminton players gathered in Mainvilliers

After two years of absence, the national tournament, organized by Bapama (Badminton Passion Mainvilliers), was held this weekend in Mainvilliers.

Placed under the eco-responsible label, Ecobad, for recycling and for the solicitation of local merchants, the tournament welcomed more than 260 participants in the Coubertin and Maroquin rooms in Mainvilliers.

For two days, the players, from the Centre-Val de Loire region, Île-de-France and even Nîmes, competed in singles or doubles in often spectacular encounters. On the result side, we will note in particular the good performances of the local Stéphanie Elau or the former Eurélien Titouan Vitrai, winners in singles.

In parallel with the events, the tournament also had a solidarity focus with a share of the proceeds donated to two local associations “Ensemble pour Salomé” and “Reconstruire ensemble”. “The tournament is a great showcase for badminton. For pleasure or for performance”, concludes Philippe Le Goff, president of Bapama.
