TIM Nepal’s National (Timnas) is reportedly in an unfavorable condition at the moment. Before the opponent Indonesian National team in the final match of Group A 2023 Asian Cup QualificationNepal’s national team coach, Abdullah Almutairi, is reportedly not in a prime condition.
That’s because Alamutairi had fainted in the previous match against Kuwait, which took place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 ago. The match, which took place at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Kuwait, was quite tiring for Nepal.
Because from the start of the first half, they continued to be under pressure from the host. Sure enough, they conceded four goals first and could only score one goal in stoppage time. As a result, they lost 1-4.
According to Nepalese media report, The Kathamandu Post, coach Almutairi fell unconscious in the technical area towards the end of the match. The Kuwaiti-born coach even had to be rushed to a local hospital.
It was not stated why the coach fainted. However, from the same page, it was stated that Almutairi had been discharged from the hospital a few hours after the match.
“Head coach Abdullah Almutairi is fine and has been discharged from hospital now,” the Nepal Football Association said.
After being sent home, Almutairi also apologized because his team lost again in this tournament. He sticks to the original plan but his health issues will be further examined after the tournament is over.
“I’m sorry for today’s loss. We will stick to our plan and continue with the regular schedule starting tomorrow. I will carry out further checks after qualifying,” said AlMutairi.
The defeat to Kuwait ensures Nepal does not qualify for the finals Asian Cup 2023. However, they still have to play their last match against the Indonesian national team on Wednesday 15 June 2022.
As for Indonesian National team still have a chance to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup finals. Besides they need a lot of goals against Nepal, Shin Tae-yong’s squad depends on the results in the Kuwait vs Jordan match.
