Proliga | Guillaume Saurina, new coach of Pontault-Combault

While the departure of Chérif Hamani for Tremblay was made official last week, the leaders of Pontault Combault immediately ratified the signature of his successor.

It is Guillaume Saurina. The former left-back, who spent a good part of his playing career in Nîmes before ending it at HBC Nantes in 2018, then held the position of assistant at the women’s club Neptunes de Nantes, before taking over. the reins in the summer of 2020.

After a successful first season, including a victory in the European League in 2021, Saurina was dismissed from his post last February, paying in particular for an early elimination in the same European competition.

At Pontault, he will succeed Chérif Hamani, who left for Tremblay in France, for what will be his first adventure on the bench of a men’s team.

At the same time, the Pontello club has formalized the arrival of Croatian pivot Leon Vucko. The former Presov has been playing in Strasbourg since 2020 and will replace Ryadh Souid, who will leave the PCHB this summer.
