Late on Sunday evening, the couple revealed the little secret and enchanted Instagram with sugar-sweet shots.
On the Germans’ favorite island, the former Borussia Dortmund player and the presenter said yes for the second time in a free wedding ceremony. An enormously emotional moment for both of them, after all, their daughter Bruna Marie (1), who was born on April 23, 2021, was there.
Weigl and Richmond had already married in a small circle on his birthday on September 8, 2020, and even then there were great pictures of the wedding on the “Costa da Caparica” beach on the opposite bank of Lisbon in Portugal.

This time not only the family members were present, but also many friends and acquaintances of the couple. You could admire Sarah in a gorgeous long, strapless dress with lots of lace and a great veil.
Weigl’s outfit was unusual, so he came to the wedding in a dark green suit.
One of the guests of the romantic spectacle was the wife of his former teammate Marco Reus (33), Scarlett Gartmann (28). Numerous congratulations also arrived via Instagram, for example from his Dortmund companions Roman Weidenfeller (41), Lukas Piszczek (37), Paco Alcacer (28) and Ann-Kathrin Götze (32), Mario Götze’s wife (30).

Where the couple will end up after the wedding in the future is still unclear. Weigl actually still has a contract with Benfica Lisbon until the end of June 2024, but he is said to not like the game idea of the new German coach Roger Schmidt, which is why there could be a change.
However, according to the contract transfermarkt.de a fixed transfer fee of 100 million euros, it is questionable whether someone will shell out. Weigl switched to Benfica in January 2020 after four and a half years in Dortmund for 20 million euros.
