A few hours later, Andrew Hornery, a journalist with a gossip column in the paper, wrote: Sydney Morning Heraldthat Wilson had “taken away” his scoop. According to Hernery, he had discovered the news of the relationship and had given Wilson two days “out of respect” for an official response. Hornery’s indignation — as if it were his right to spread the word about Wilson’s sexuality worldwide — drew him a lot of criticism.

Wilson is already happy with the support she received on social media during the hoopla. “Thank you for that, it was a difficult situation, but I’m trying to solve it elegantly,” she wrote on Twitter.
