Five season contract
Benfica from Portugal formalized the agreement with Liverpool from England for the transfer, for a total of 100 million euros, of the Uruguayan player Darwin Nuñez, for the next five seasons, until June 2027.
The artiguense breaks all the parameters, becoming a new compatriot who steps on the Premier League, after Luis Suárez also at Anfield, Diego Forlán and Edinson Cavani’s recent move to Manchester United, and currently Rodrigo Bentancur at Tottenham.
In addition, it is the most expensive transfer from Liverpool, leaving behind the 83 million that the English team disbursed for defender Virgil Van Dijk to Southampton, as well as the second most important transfer from the Eagles, after João Felíz to Atlético de Madrid, for 127 millions.
