Andy y Lucas They form one of the most emblematic musical groups of our country. A lifetime together and 20 years in music have brought them to this point, releasing a new album that will be released next November in which they will sing their most mythical songs together with other artists who have wanted to join the project. Although they have also released their own single, ‘I’m Going Crazy’, whose video clip they have recorded in the high school class where they studied together. “It’s nice because remember when we were there, we did what we could. We should have studied a little more but we did well. We started with the group there at recess time”, they stated.
Fame has not changed them and they have always had their feet on the ground, despite the fact that at some point they have also had time to go crazy and have their ups and downs, but they have always supported each other. Although they were very young when they started, they tried to be responsible and that has allowed them to get here, now being both parents, which has completely changed their vision of life.
The songs that have marked the career of Andy and Lucas
“They take me to that beginning, the demos for the album, the first trips to Madrid, the preparation of the promotion that I didn’t even know what it was”, said Andy when Antonio Hueso asked him what he feels when listening to the songs that have marked his life. For Lucas, he recalls a frantic life of travel, concerts and sleepless hours. “Now I wonder how we could bear it. At this age, the hangover lasts longer than the party”, he said with a laugh.
And they have also talked about one of the songs that can never be missing from their concerts, ‘In your window’, one of the first in which sexist violence was talked about without filters. “We broke into the landscape in a way that was not planned, it was the carnivalesque style of Cádiz of the comparsas that play many taboo subjects, that influence is there. We have tried without messing with anyone to vindicate and reach places that are otherwise complicated. It was a before and after”, they commented.
The collaborations of the album in which they celebrate their 20 years in music
Andy and Lucas have recognized that they have worked hard and have worked hard to get here and perhaps that is why so many artists have wanted to be part of this album in which they celebrate their 20 years in music. Antonio José, Abraham Mateo and Lérica with a more urban ‘Son de amores’, Paco Candela, Camela, Omar Montes with La Húngara, El Arrebato or India Martínez They are part of this project that has gotten out of hand. “We were going to do 12 songs and in the end we are going for 23”, they have said. And although it has been difficult to square with the record companies, “with art and explaining a little about the project that the artist has said yes and we are not going to hurt anyone because we are not going to step on any of his releases and we deserve that tribute because we have marked many generations”, they affirmed. This is added to a long tour of concerts that they have already started and that will take them to numerous points in Spain. Andy and Lucas stay for a while!
