Sugar is processed very quickly in the body and makes you feel hungry even though you ate a large cake just an hour ago. Sugar releases dopamine, which is addictive. Dopamine is released by neurons in this system in response to a rewarding event. This special chemical works to keep us in a good mood.
The brain sees sugar as a reward or an essential nutrient for replenishment. When you eat more sugar, your body craves even more. And it turns into a vicious circle. Also, high-sugar foods do not satisfy our body because they do not contain any beneficial nutrients!
