An 87-year-old cyclist was hit by a car while crossing a street in Lohne (Vechta district) and was fatally injured. According to police reports from Sunday, a 50-year-old man from Vechta was driving his car on the road on Saturday afternoon when the cyclist suddenly crossed the road in a curve area shortly after Märschendorf. The 87-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
