Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – After a suspected cyber attack on the Freiburg University of Education, the police have started investigations. It is about the suspicion of computer sobotage, said a spokeswoman on Friday. The university has been affected by a cyber attack since Pentecost. All servers have been shut down.
A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Science said: “The experts are working together at full speed to restore the IT infrastructure. The university is doing its utmost to keep the university running for the students.” Data protection and information security are taken very seriously at the state universities in Baden-Württemberg. “However, complete protection against cyber attacks can never be guaranteed.”
