Meta cancels release of leaked smartwatch

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Meta canceled to release a smart watch or “smart watch” whose specifications had leaked and were developed almost a year ago.

The cancellation of the smartwatch, which Meta employees refer to as Milan, occurred earlier this week for reasons that have not been further explained.

Citing GSM Arena, Saturday, the prototype from Milan has actually been completed and even exists.

But unfortunately this product was not released even though it already has an almost perfect prototype.

As for the prototype, Meta allows the smartwatch body to be detached from the strap holder.

Furthermore, there are a total of two cameras embedded in the smart watch with a size of 5 MP for the front camera and 12 MP for the rear camera which is located near the health sensor.

The detachable body actually allows users to record videos and take photos when not carrying their smartphone.

Just like any other smartwatch there are a variety of health and monitoring features for exercise along with the photo gallery, calendar and other settings commonly found on “wearable” devices.

The device is supposed to launch in spring 2023 but it looks like this is not going to happen.

However, Meta is reportedly still working on producing other “wearable” devices that can be worn on the hand.
