“Let the press kiss my ass, because I’m in enough trouble”

Valer Dorneanu ended his term as judge and president of the Constitutional Court on Friday, and thanked journalists in a statement saying that “the press is a lung through which a nation breathes.”

Later, at the CCR headquarters, Dorneanu mistakenly called back, a journalist from Libertatea newspaper, who had previously called him for a point of view.

Dorneanu was recorded without knowing and heard when he broadcast about journalists, in a conversation with a CCR employee: “Let the press kiss my ass, because I have enough trouble”.
