The police have now named as many as seven members of the group Khilafatul Muslimin as a suspect. Finally, two suspects have just been arrested by Polda Metro Jaya.
The two suspects are said to be important figures in the Khilafatul Muslimin. They were arrested in Bandar Lampung, Lampung, on Saturday (11/6/2022).
This series of suspects from the Khilafatul Muslimin started with the arrest of the leader of the mass organization, namely Abdul Qadir Hasan Baraja. Police have not been able to detail the two suspects and are still being interrogated at the Bandar Lampung Police Station.
Meanwhile, three other suspects were arrested by the Central Java Police and one suspect by the East Java Police. They were sentenced to 5 years in prison.
“First from the Central Java Police, three suspects, then from the Metro Jaya Police, one suspect from the East Java Police last night,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Depok, West Java, Saturday (11/6).
Police confiscate billions of dollars at the Khilafatul Muslimin Headquarters in Lampung
A joint team from the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police again searched the Khilafatul Muslimin headquarters in Bandar Lampung, Lampung. During the search, the police confiscated billions of rupiah in cash.
“Billions (rupiah) were also confiscated,” said Director General of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi when contacted detik.comSaturday (11/6).
The billions of rupiah were confiscated from the Khilafatul Muslimin head office in Bandar Lampung. The money was allegedly used as operational funds for the Khilafatul Muslimin.
“It is suspected that the operational symbols of this mass organization are contrary to Pancasila,” explained Hengki.
